Competition Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to every prize competition and free draw run by Stevenson Professional Group Ltd trading as SPG Competitions & Giveaways UK. By entering, you confirm you are 18 or over, live in the UK and agree to these terms.
1. The promoter
Competitions on this website are run by Stevenson Professional Group Ltd, trading as SPG Competitions & Giveaways UK (“we”, “us”, “the promoter”). Company number: available on request. Registered office: available on request. Phone: 07771 910742. Email: available on request.
These terms apply to every competition we run, together with the details shown on each competition page (prize, entry price, entry limits, closing date and qualifying question). If a competition page says something different from these terms, the competition page applies for that competition.
2. Who can enter (age restriction)
- You must be 18 or over and live in the United Kingdom.
- Our employees, their immediate families and anyone professionally connected with a competition cannot enter.
- Entries made on behalf of someone else, by automated means or through third-party services are not valid.
- Entries from anyone under 18 are void and will not win a prize. Payments for void entries made by under-18s will be refunded.
- We will check the age, identity and address of a winner before awarding a prize, and may ask for photo ID and proof of address.
3. The qualifying question
Every competition has a skill-based, multiple-choice qualifying question. The question and answer options are shown on the competition page and may be different for each competition.
- Online entries: you must choose the correct answer before you can continue to payment. If your answer is incorrect, the entry cannot be added to your basket and no payment is taken.
- Postal entries: you must write the correct answer on your postcard. Postal entries with a missing or incorrect answer are not valid.
- Only entries with a correct answer go into the draw.
4. How to enter
Online (paid). Answer the qualifying question, choose your number of entries, confirm you meet the entry requirements and pay at checkout. Payment is taken securely by Stripe. Your entry numbers are issued once payment is confirmed, shown on your order confirmation page and emailed to you.
By post (free). No purchase necessary. Send an unenclosed postcard by first or second class post with your full name, postal address, date of birth, phone number, email address, the name of the competition and your answer to the qualifying question, to:
Please call us on 07771 910742 for the postal entry address.
- One entry per postcard. Postcards must be hand-written and must arrive before the competition closes.
- Postal entries are subject to the same entry limits as online entries and have exactly the same chance of winning.
- Proof of posting is not proof of receipt. We are not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed or illegible.
- Valid postal entries are given entry numbers in the same way as online entries.
5. Entry limits and closing dates
- The maximum number of entries per person and per order, the total number of entries available and the closing date are shown on each competition page.
- A competition closes at the advertised closing time, or earlier if all entries are taken. Entries received after closing are not valid.
- When a competition closes, the entry list is locked. No entries can be added, changed or removed.
- If we have to extend a closing date, we will show the new date on the competition page and tell entrants by email.
6. The draw
The winner is chosen at random from all valid entries (paid and free) after the competition closes, using a random selection process that is recorded so the result can be checked. The draw date is shown on the competition page.
7. Winners
- We will contact the winner by phone and/or email using the details given at entry, within 7 days of the draw.
- The winner must respond within 14 days and provide any proof of age, identity and address we ask for. If they do not, or they do not meet these terms, we may draw a new winner.
- We publish the winner’s first name, the first part of their postcode or their town, and their winning entry number on this website to show the competition was won. We will only publish photos or further details with the winner’s agreement.
8. Prizes
- Prizes are as described on the competition page. Where a cash alternative is offered, it is stated on the competition page.
- Prizes are not transferable. If a prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside our control, we will offer a prize of equal or greater value.
- Prizes are delivered to an address in the UK, or collected by arrangement, within 30 days of the winner being verified unless the competition page says otherwise.
9. Refunds and cancellation
- Because entries take part in a draw on a fixed date, you cannot cancel an entry once payment is confirmed, except where the law gives you a right to.
- If we cancel a competition, all paid entries are refunded in full to the original payment method within 14 days.
- If an entry is found to be void (for example, the entrant is under 18), the payment is refunded and the entry removed.
10. Responsible play
Please only spend what you can afford. If you would like us to limit or stop your entries, contact us and we will close your account and refuse further entries for the period you ask. Free, confidential support is available from GamCare on 0808 8020 133.
11. Your personal data (UK GDPR)
We use the details you give us to run the competition, check eligibility, contact and verify the winner, deliver the prize, keep the records we are required to keep and publish the result as set out above. Full details, including your rights, are in our Privacy Policy.
12. Our responsibility to you
- We may disqualify entries and withhold prizes where we reasonably believe there has been fraud, cheating, multiple identities or a breach of these terms.
- We are not responsible for technical faults outside our reasonable control that stop entries being received.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law. Your statutory rights are not affected.
13. Legal status, changes and law
Our competitions are run as prize competitions and free draws under the Gambling Act 2005, and we follow the UK Government’s Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators. We may update these terms; the version shown on this page when you enter applies to your entry. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in which case you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
